Unread post by Phoenix » 08 Oct 2007, 22:38

@Cyrille

Is this an ECC error? or a typo in the language file? (the %s thingy), can you take a look?

No, they should be gone... do you have it in 0.9.5 (rebuild 2)? or 0.9.6 WIP17?

Maybe i found the problem, in the 0.9.5 release they should be GOOD..because they files are saved as ANSI, in the 0.9.6 WIP they are all UTF-8, but since Andreas had some UTF-8 problems in 0.9.6 he switched back to ANSI somewhere in the late 0.9.6 WIP 15,16,17 versions.

Can you check if they are good in 0.9.5?

For instance in the menu :
"Update" => "Mise `a jour" instead of "Mise à jour"

And in the right-tab "PERSONNEL" I have some "`e" instead of "è" and "^e" instead of "ê", but no problem with "é".

I have no idea where the problem is :online2long:, but maybe it is because we can create these characters by two way. For instance the character "ê":
- Button "ê".
- Button "^", and then button "e".

There is a button "^" and a button "`" and there is problems with "ê", "à" and "è".
And there is only one way to create the character "é", with a button, and no problem...

Aha i see it.....hmmm where lies the problem....

Hmmm.. i see in php.ini that codepage 1250 is used...but it does NOT support the characters you have posted above here:
http://www.kostis.net/charsets/cp1250.htm

So we need another codepage for you language...some experimentation is needed ;)

Yes... but it seems that this character is in the list of characters 'codepage 1250' you linked
http://www.kostis.net/charsets/cp1250.htm

All existing French 'special' characters are :
â, à,
ê, é, è
î
ô,
û, ù

All missing French 'special' characters in the lists of characters 'codepage 1250' are :
à,
ê, è
û, ù

Here is a test with 0.9.5 (in the same case as you : "montrer l'historique des tâches") :
â, à, ê, é, è, î, ô, û, ù

Result in UTF8 :
