Update Version 0.6.3

Unread post by DerMicha75 » 21 May 2012, 19:41

Hi,

as requested by Vicman here is an actual beta. This time version 0.6.3.

Whats new (again not too much tis time, my garden needs much work)

Code: Select all

fixed:

- "copy all" in images edit now also copies the video
- "filter clones" and "filter media numbers > 1" now updates total games count

added:

- first try to support parsing of multirom games
  - crc is calculated based on datfile information, so also incomplete games can create a correct crc32 and use imagepacks
  - set name, year and publisher based on datfile information
  - sets parent/clone information based on datfile information
- GameImagesList can now be wider than 240 pixels
Have Fun... and here is the link: http://www.michas-modellbahn.de/_static ... _0.6.3.zip

For multifile roms you need a new directory /datfiles under /config (included in ZIP). This contains the datfiles (exact as in ecc1, so no coversation needed). So this time the update is about 9MB, since these datfiles are BIG.

I've just discovered this download, and tested it in a moment with the N64 no-intro collection. It looks great! And supports videos, a plus now I also bought an Emumovies account. You have a new beta tester.

One suggestion: when scanning the no-intro romsets, there should be a way to filter out the betas / alternate versions as they appear as dupes.

Hi mgtroyas,
nice to see you here ;)

to your suggestion :
Do you know, that you can mark beta/dupes (clones) manually in eCC2 ?

@Micha :
found a small bug in platform filter :
Acorn Atom, Amstrad CPC & Matra/Hachette Alice are listet in Console....should be placed into Computer :detective:

Hi mgtroyas,

thanx for testing and feedback. As far as I know there is no way to automatic detect bad dumps in nointro sets. The name scheme does not give this information, or am I wrong? If a rom is named like this rom should be marked as bad. On my todo list is a function to hide bads, alternates, overdumps and so on (when they marked as these types). Stay tuned.

@Vicman: Thanks, its'done.
