Here is a new version, brand new direct from development :-)
Hi all,
here is a new version, brand new direct from development :-)
Whats new:
- more meta options to enter
- configurable columns for list view (per platform)
- configurable values for detail view (per platform)
- image view now calculates number of columns based on resolution
- optimized rendering of images
- show metas on right panel
- more than 1 rom directory
- you can choose the type of dir (NoIntro, TOSEC, ...) to fill the meta fields (and have the game ony once in database)
- new platform images (modified the current to avoid these "round edges")
- video support (you can include movies from emumovies.com to show some game sequences) (avi and flv)
--> you need to have the VLC Player installed on your system (since Java does not support such video playing)
- switch between images (only 4 types supported yet)
- auto rotate images (after finishing video)
For all these video and image things try out the a2600 platform, I included some examples
Next steps:
- import function for images and videos (based on set names)
- some more options (show video (yes/no), time between image rotate, ...)
- script support for running games, here I want to do something like GEMUS
And here is the download link (abot 23 MB):

Re: What I'm doing since January
Hi again,
your "what's new" point :
- switch between images (only 4 types supported yet)
don't work correctly (yet...?)
1. (manually) switching between the images is not possible...only *.png's are shown.....no (jpg-cover)
2. also when using "rotate images" : I watch the video-clip first, the next picture is an ingame-screenshot.
...but the cover-pictures are not shown....('cause they are *.jpg's and not *.png ? )
To put it briefly : *.jpg's don't work yet

Re: What I'm doing since January
Hey, i tried emuControlCenter 2, and i think, it looks already really good (i like the animated gifs)! Congratulations, Michael!
Feel free to reverse engeneer all the interesting features in ecc 1 - and all the ressources like configs, pictures and translations! :-)
I think, using java for ecc 2 is a good desision. Maybe you can make it "open source" (maybe hosted on source-forge or github) so other people can add features too.
I really proud that the software we (phoenix, myself and all the people in this forum!) created over the years is so good, that you try to build a Version 2. Thank you!
Maybe phoenix can create a thread "emuControlCenter 2.x"?
Good luck,
Andreas (ecc)

Hi
Just tried yours and have this question. I've tried it with both roms and emu inside the ecc2 directory and outside, and got these errors:

Re: What I'm doing since January
Hmmmm, I have to test it. The feature of starting games have little prio at the moment, so I think I missed some settings (I thought it worked last time...)
Can you try to modify your game path to relative path description like /gba/roms or/and alternatively your emu path? I will try and check it tonight, now I go to a model railroad exhibition.

Re: What I'm doing since January
Hi te_lanus,
I played a little with my program.
Running packed and unpacked roms inside default dir /user/gba/roms works.
Running packed roms outside ecc2 works.
Running unpacked roms outside ecc2 does not work.
I created a little patch, in next release included. Simply unpack in install dir, overwrite existing files.
