Here I come with an update

Unread post by DerMicha75 » 15 Apr 2010, 20:48

Hi all,

here I come with an update. You can download a new version (22MB) here:

http://rapidshare.com/files/376293115/ecc2.zip

The "only" new is: you can edit metadata and save them. But I did a lot of work for doing this. (additional a lotof small things) Feel free to test. But sure I have a question for you :-)

I'm sarching for an good idea for the "region" field(s). In ECC you can select exacly 1 region. This does not always match, since there were games that are released in "USA/Europe" but not in Asia, so "World" is false. I thougt of an solution like my language one, but then the question is: which regions, countries to choose? Show text or flags, ...? PLEASE REPLY IDEAS :clapshout:

For those who dont want to download here the 2 pages of meta dialog. The first comes with open language selector:
meta1.png
The second page is for dump infos. With the "..." button you can choose from base data. In screenshot you see the open cracker select dialog (where you can also add / edit values):
meta2.png
Thank you for ideas.

Micha

PS: Next steps:

- import ecc datfile
- more than 1 rom dir (also outside ecc2 file structure)
- run games

Looks Good so far :thumb:

To Your Question:
I would use Country Flags
(also the "Europe-Flag" for european release" , and a "Globus-Flag" for world-releases and.......for Asia-releases :-k ......a Sushi-Flag :clown: )

btw.
1. Please add the "Favorite-Gamedump-Option" as an xtra-Field to the Metadata, or somewhere else ! (not to Dump-Info)
2. Maybe it is possible to have a larger "Picture-Box" on the right panel ?

I will try this. Also I've seen that I missed the genres... Fav dump comes. And I will think how can I make a variable image size on the right side.

Yes, still working on it. But in summer I spent no time for private programming. Now I did some improvements. (multiple rom dirs, video support (emumovies), manage different rom sets (NoIntro, TOSEC, MESS, GoodXXX). I think I will post a new version soon. Currently I work on starting games when they are packed.

good to hear ;)

hoping you can (maybe) use GEMUS instead AutoIt as script-function.....
i think it's easier to use, and more comfortable...

@Phoenix & Micha

have you seen exoDOS Volume 1 collection on UG ?
He use the Fontend MEAGRE for his Project.
I really like the big picture-view from the Covers & screenshots.... :yes_head:

I would be nice to have such a "GUI" in eCC or eCC2

btw.
I'm working on the Enterprise-Imagepack (and a "GameBase Enterprise")
Think i'll finish it this year :boxing:

Well i am currently working on a DATfile updater like lordashram asked here: http://ecc.phoenixinteractive.nl/viewto ... =31&t=3345

Almost done, but a little work to be done by splitting the dats and create a GUI option in ECC, more soon!
