Where is "Dump Type" in eCC-Datfile ?

Unread post by Vicman » 25 Feb 2010, 19:09

Hi Phoenix,
i want to add the Mediainfo "Dump-Type" automaticly with MS-Excel.....
But i can't find this entry in the eCC-Datfile....

Example for 10 Pin Bowling :

Code: Select all

c64;10-Pin Bowling;zip;A3BC5A50;;;;;;;;;1984;;50;E;;;;;2;(Public Domain);;174848;Bill Fehr & Dave Fehr;(None);;3;;;;;#
Can't see Dump-Type on an excel-table !? - where is it :-k

Hi Vicman,

Like the genre's.... the DUMPTYPE is represented in a number in your case there should be a number '11' somewhere, but i also don't see it :?, see list below:

Code: Select all

	'dropdownDumpType' => array(
		0 => 'unknown',
		1 => '[!]', // Verified Good Dump
		2 => '[a]', // Alternate
		3 => '[b]', // Bad Dump
		4 => '[t]', // Trained
		5 => '[f]', // Fixed
		6 => '[T]', // Translation
		7 => '[h]', // Hack
		8 => '[o]', // Overdump
		9 => '[p]', // Pirate
		10 => '[cr]', // [cr] Cracked
		11 => '[misc_fav]', // users favorite dump
		12 => '[misc_amiga_WHD]', // Amiga WHDLoad dump
		13 => '[misc_amiga_ADF]', // Amiga ADF dump
		14 => '[misc_amiga_IPF]', // Amiga IPF dump
		15 => '[misc_amiga_SPS]', // Amiga SPS dump
	),
We have to research this... :detective:

In 'ecc-system\manager\cDatFileExport.php' it seems that a dumptype isn't exported...... :-k

see here:

line 175:

Code: Select all

$line = $v['eccident'].";".$v['name'].";".$v['extension'].";".$v['crc32'].";".$v['running'].";".$v['bugs'].";".$v['trainer'].";".$v['intro'].";".$v['usermod'].";".$v['freeware'].";".$v['multiplayer'].";".$v['netplay']
.";".$v['year'].";".$v['usk'].";".$v['category'].";".$languages.";".$v['creator'].";;;".str_replace(" ","", $v['info']).";".$v['info_id'].";".$v['publisher'].";".$v['storage'].";".$fileSize.";".$v['programmer'].";".$v['musican']
.";".$v['graphics'].";".$v['media_type'].";".$v['media_current'].";".$v['media_count'].";".$v['region'].";".$v['category_base'].";#\r\n";
and line 257:

Code: Select all

$line .= "eccident;name;extension;crc32;running;bugs;trainer;intro;usermod;freeware;multiplayer;netplay;year;usk;category;languages;creator;hardware;doublettes;info;info_id;
publisher;storage;filesize;programmer;musican;graphics;media_type;media_current;media_count;region;category_base;#\r\n";
so maybe we can add it ;)

after one year........

The "Dump Type Problem" in the eccDat is still alive......

The problem is.....i've forgotten, that there is a problem with the dump type in the eccdat-file............
So, I've made about 1000 entrys for "favorite dump"....and now after re-importing my datfile, all datas are lost :angry: :veryangry: :crying:

hope this problem will be solved on day [-o<

btw.
The Meta-Info "Favorite Dump" should have its own "field" , and not listed in "Dump Type"........

Hey, Andreas ! Can you make this ? :lmfao: ...... :oops: ..... :flowers:

Okey....first we have to see wich variable is used to represent the MEDIA DUMP TYPE, and when i look into 'cTreeviewData.php' i may have found it :smartass: :

Code: Select all

dump_type
without the 'md_', beacause it is't in this line @ cDatFileExport.php:

Code: Select all

$line = $v['eccident'].";".$v['name'].";".$v['extension'].";".$v['crc32'].";................

Hi Vicman,

Ok, here are the changes and it may work, i've added these variables to the php code: :sorcerer:

ecc_dump_02.png (4.29 KiB) Viewed 2171 times
ecc_dump_03.png
ecc_dump_03.png (3.79 KiB) Viewed 2171 times
I made the changes here in this file 'ecc-system\manager\cDatFileExport.php', download here:
*EDIT: File removed, will be distributed with ECC Live!

overwrite the existing file, but please make a backup of the old file first :yes_head:

Now then.....can you add some media dumps into the rominfo's? and then export the ECC DAT?
please look into the last column if there are any numbers (like discribed above in the topic).

let me know if it worked!, if it did....we have to work on 'cDatFileImport.php' :crazy:

Stop!!!! As described in the linked post we tried this already. The problem is not the output, its the input! ECC can not read these modified files.

Hi All,

Whoooohooo, after 2 hours of experimenting and testing it seems i forgot some things last year in the 'cDatFileImport.php' :sweatdrop: and guess what.....DUMPTYPE export and IMPORT works now!!!, before i put it on ECC Live, please test it!!

Don't forget to make a backup of your ECC database & the 'ecc-system\manager' folder (or test with a clean version off ECC installed elsewhere :shifty: )

let me know if it also works on your side!

:clap:

download here, overwrite existing files when asked:

*EDIT: file removed, new testvresion available...

Re: Where is "Dump Type" in eCC-Datfile ?

Unread post by Vicman » 03 Mar 2011, 19:17

Hi Phoenix,

i've installed a clean eCC on another diskdrive.
Then i put your update in it.
Now, i've parsed my enterprise roms in the "new" ecc......

The good news is : I've made some entrys on the metas (also dump-type) and exported the eccDat. The dump-type is now listed on the eccDat :thumb:

The bad news : I can't import my (old) enterprise_eccDat into the updated ecc-frontend....... :? (it is because the missing ";dump_type" text in the datfile "Header", right ?

I think, i have to add ;dump_type into my old datfile manually, right ?! Or is there another solution ?
(so, we have to make this for all existing ecc_Datfiles.....but i hope we don't need to edit them manually...... :sweatdrop: )

EDIT :
Another question :

This is a part of the old datfile :
eccident;name;extension;crc32;running;bugs;trainer;intro;usermod;freeware;multiplayer;netplay;year;usk;category;languages;creator;hardware;doublettes;info;info_id;publisher;storage;filesize;programmer;musican;graphics;media_type;media_current;media_count;region;category_base;#

After the last word "category_base" is a semicolon and then the #

In the new datfile, after the word "dump_type" is not a semicolon. Is this a "BUG" or is it o.k. so ?
[ECC_MEDIA]
eccident;name;extension;crc32;running;bugs;trainer;intro;usermod;freeware;multiplayer;netplay;year;usk;category;languages;creator;hardware;doublettes;info;info_id;publisher;storage;filesize;programmer;musican;graphics;media_type;media_current;media_count;region;category_base;dump_type#

The solution should be using a new datfile version number, so the import can decide what to do. It's already prepared in the file.

Micha

PS: ECC2 is now able to read both versions :-)

Hi Micha,

I've edited my last post. What do you think about the missing semicolon ? Is it important ?

p.s.
I will know take a look at ecc2 ;)

Hi Vicman,

I think the semicolon is a BUG, not critical, but Phoenix, please add it :-)

and please in header and data section

I've edited my datfile with MS Access.

@Phoenix : I think it works (export & import) [but don't forget to add the semicolon before putting it on eCC-live] :thumbsup:

Ok all fixed now, new dats will have version "1.1" in them and therefore dump type will be imported too, old datfiles (the version before) wich had 0.98 will not import dumptype (because it's not in that dat version :P), i tested both dat versions and more situations, all works on my side, let me know if it's all OK on your side!, so we can distribute it on ECC Live!

Make backups before you apply this patch :smartass:

Hi Phoenix,

it works for me, but the "semicolon BUG" is stil in your text ;) (missing between dump_type and # ) [in Line 257]

Code: Select all

Hi Vicman,

Yeah you are right, but it's just plaintext (headerinfo for user) nothing is done with that line of data :smartass: , nevertheless i'll add it :lmfao:

is it ok to distribute it with ECC Live?

Hi Phoenix,

you are right, but it's read by automatic parsers like my importer in ECC2. It builds up the fields automatically based on the header, so it's good to have it in :-)
And in this way my importer can read all versions of eccdat, also when columns are switched or missing.
