ECC & Windows7 64-bit, a good match?

Unread post by howardphilips » 26 Dec 2013, 19:56

Hi all,
I am the happy owner of a brand new desktop computer (lots of power inside) which runs under Windows7 64-bit.
Of course, one of the first things to be done was installing ECC on it to enjoy those good old games.
Yet, something does not seem to be quite working. After downloading and extracting the latest available version, it looks like the 3rd party tools such as the parsing tool or AutoIt do not work properly (parsing an iso for instance goes on forever).
Did I miss anything when installing ECC or is there something which is not quite adapted to Win64?

Of course I looked for the answer on the forum but could not find help.

Thanks for your help! [-o<

Hi Howardphilips,

I am running Windows 7 64-bit for 3 years now, no problems at all, i haven't parsed an ISO lately, so i will try a new ECC install and give it a shot...

Hi Howardphilips,

I've tested a file 250 M, there are no problems at all!, is there a error.log file created in the ECC folder or one folder above?

Could you upload the ISO somewhere so i can give it a try?

Thanks Phoenix,

I will try a new and fresh install. Maybe my install was not clean enough...
Anyway, what you told is reassuring me, I thought that 1/3 party tools might not be compatible with my version of windows!
