@Blackerking,

Can you extract this archive to a folder and run 'OS_info.cmd'?, can you post the output results?

lol, I already give you all those infos in my previous post, I just didn't think to screenshot and wrote them by hand, but at the end, registry keys and infos came from Windows 7 entreprise x64 RTM ;)

We'll re-do the test with the new autoit, hopefully the string will change ^^

One sec' I reboot :p

Hi wAw,

My concern is that i found another result from someone on the net using AutoIt3 with Win7, here it said 'WIN_LONGHORN' instead of 'WIN_7', that's why i want your results :sorcerer: :smartass:

Code: Select all

X64
WIN_7
WIN32_NT
Nothing that looks like a signature.

Thanks guys!!

I think i'll update AutoIt3 to v3.3.1.5 in the next update, and start working on ECC Startup to put a regkey for Xpadder in the register!

With pleasure :)

Sorry I miss it, but perhaps this longhorn finding was on an upgrade from vista to 7 ?

Ok, i implemented this into the next ecc startup, so it will write the WINXP compatible registerkey for Xpadder, so it works well with Windows 7 :smartass: (it will do this once on first startup!)

Yes but No :sweatdrop:
At least, I'm not sure :clown:

Wasn't this also a 32/64 bits problem ?

I don't think so, 32-bit programs work like a charm on 64-bit (it's backwards compatible) :smartass:

Ok all, this should work now with ECC Startup v2.3.3.7 (update 00411), please give it a try, how?:

1. Have you got Win7?, if yes then go to step 2 else stop testing :clown:
2. install the RAR version of ECC on another location on your computer.
3. DON'T run ECC yet!, copy your CID (ecc live needs this) from you old installation to this TEST install, it's located here: 'ecc-system\idt\cicheck.idt'
4. Run ECC Live to get the latest ECC updates (also 00411).
5. Startup ECC.
6. In the ECC config, in the 'startup' TAB, enable the option "start Xpadder on startup".
7. Save settings & reload ECC.
8. Exit ECC, and start ECC again.

If all went good you''ll not see a message with "OS not supported".

please give it a try!

There is a problem since to run ECC Live we must at least start one time ECC, so the check won't be done. :D

here is the log file, it was on win7 entreprise x64.

Never the less, I deleted the ecc's ini after 411 update, but even if it ask me again about language, etc, at startup, xpadder still in normal mode. Well, I don't know if deleting those 2 ini files was enough to make him do the new win7 check ^^

Totally forgot that ](*,)

You can copy your CID (ecc live needs this) from you old installation to the TEST install?, it's located here: 'ecc-system\idt\cicheck.idt'

i'll adjust the howto test in the post above here (somewhere :P)
