Hi Papabaer,

Hmmm.... there is no OS check in ecc.exe :-k , can you add a screenshot please?, it could be an Autoit core problem (Autoit it may not be ready for Win7 yet), anyone else has this problem with Win7?

No problem with ECC in Win 7 x64 other then a MAME issue that was easily fixed by using a 64 bit version of MAME.

Hi Papabaer,

Yes, it also seems that for a newer Xpadder you have pay money ;(

Maybe it's better to not load Xpadder with ECC on a Win7 OS, i can insert this into ECC.EXE, what do you guys think?

Maybe this can help: http://forum.gametribe.com/showthread.php?t=17602
I just tried to setup Xpadder for Kicks on Windows 7 and it won't run...
But if you run Xpadder in Windows XP (SP3) Compatibility Mode it works like a charm.
Please test this out, and let me know!

Hi Phoenix,

when i create a shortcut for xpadder and then zip it, there is only the xpadder.exe inside the zip. i never ziped a shortcut..is that a normal behavior? do you want that? and when i try to put this shortcut into this post, it's also the exe.

the thing with the mode is the registry i think.

there is an entry in

Path
HKEY_USERS\S-x-x-xx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers

Entry
F:\Emula\Multi System\emuControlCenter\ecc-core\thirdparty\xpadder\Xpadder.exe

Parameter
WINXPSP3

Hope that helps you

ECC runs perfectly under Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
It was installed in Windows XP and now it works under Windows 7.
XPadder is always disabled on my PC.
Nothing that looks like a signature.

First, sorry Phoenix to have bothered you with useless informations :oops:

Then, I confirm that a registry key is enough in windows 7 x64 to make xpadder run in XP SP3 compatibility mode.

Here are the informations you could use to automate this with ECC, beginning with how Autoit recognise Win7, unfortunately, it's like a Vista x64...

Here are the infos you'll get with AutoIt :
Spoiler: show
@OSArch : X64
@OSVersion : WIN_VISTA
@OSType : WIN32_NT
Here is the registry key :
Spoiler: show
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers]
"Drive-letter:\\path_to...\\emuControlCenter\\ecc-core\\thirdparty\\xpadder\\Xpadder.exe"="WINXPSP3"
If you add this key, it will be added to the registry HKEY_USERS\S-x-x-xx-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx\Software\... too.

And here is the file containing the registry key not modified (with my path), and the infos in a txt file, good play with it :)
