eCC-Datfile for Commodore C64

Unread post by Vicman » 15 Feb 2010, 21:00

Hi all,
in addition to the imagepacks for several Platforms, I'm working on a eCC-Datfile for the Commodore C64 :yes_head:
I use the Dumps from the brand new Gamebase GB64v7.
It contains about 20.000 Games.

Allready added :

- The right Game-Names (All Games, first Disk/Tape)
- The Year (btw. it would be nice, if we could also use a Questionmark : 198? , 19??, and 4 x "????" )
- The Languages (Country flag, all Games exept some, we don't have in eCC)
- EDIT :all publisher added ;)
- Gamebase ID-Number for each Game
- EDIT :all Programers added
- EDIT :all Genres added
- EDIT :all Musican added

to do :
- Developer....etc..

Actually Datfile = Attachment

Look at Platform Hunting-Section , for the c64-dumps ;)

Otherwise you get some wrong CRC's

Last Update : (for the next Time)
Musicans also added to the Metainfo. (look first Post)

Now, I'm back on the Dosbox-Imagepack & Datfile....(UG-DosCollection)
When i've finished Dosbox and my other open projects, i'll maybe start the C64-Imagepack. ;)

@Phoenix :
Can you add this Datfile to the RomDB ? - I don't want to upload 20100 Dumps via eCC :clown:
(or is this still Andreas' job ? )

Go directly into the database and set the field cdate :-) This is the date ecc thinks you edited the metas. And if this is set, the data is exported...

Huch...

here for all of you editing metas withe excel the solution. But be careful and backup your database file!!!

- download sqlitexplorer and extract it to any place (I have mine in ECC folder), (zip will unpack 2 files )
- start sqliteexplorer.exe
- click on "file - open database" and go to the "ecc-system/database" folder
- switch to "all files" and open the "eccdb" file
- type in the upright field

Code: Select all

update mdata set cdate = 1 where eccident = 'c64'
You can replace the eccident with any you want :-)
- Press the "execute" button in toolbar
- Ready, now Ecc will upload the meta and clear the field cdate. If you manually save in ECC this field is filled with the actual date and time (large number value), but setting 1 (which the sql script above does) also works.

Hmmmmmm. seems to be correct. If I just do ist... it works.

ZIP the DB and let me see how big it is. Or just export as eccdatfile, send it to me and I try it...

Noooooooooooooooo! the field above these table (upper right). like in first screen.

You can try for instance: "select cdate from mdata where crc32='ABAB3456'" (where you should add an valid crc32. In the lower table you see the result.

Or simply "select * from mdata where eccident='c64'" and you will see all metas.

Micha, just DL the db and trying....

I found it!

The problem is the category. You can not add to romDB entries with the new categories. So Andreas has to fix it :-(

The other thing is that ECC eliminates the questionmarks in year field when manually edit the entries. So this has to be fixed by phoenix, but this seems not be a problem for uploading.
