Debugging ECC

Hi Phoenix,

Just wondering if there was an easy way to debug the PHP code of ECC?

I have tried adding various 'print' type statements (as per several different PHP websites) but they all seem to crash the Console Window when I place them inside a Class (such as App in ecc.php).

Thanks in advance.

Shando

PS: What is the best dev environment?? Currently I'm just making changes in Notepad++.

Hi Shando,

The best way to debug ECC PHP code is to create a BAT or CMD file in the ecc ROOT folder with the contents:

Code: Select all

ecc-core\php-gtk2\php.exe ecc-system\ecc.php
Then i use ECHO and PRINT commands to output data to the console.

I am also using Notepad++, but some people advice Eclipse....never used it really....
