@zoopcrewkid,

I've tested your database, ECC won't start up not v1.20 or v1.21, but there seems to be nothing wrong with the database the columns are created in this one, and mdata is filled correctly....

Could you zip the last one in the eccdb backup folder (or a working one)? and upload?

Thanks in forward!

Worst case scenario is to unpack and overwrite v1.21 from GITHUB with yours and fill the DB again....

Hi Phoenix,

I've been doing a bit of digging myself and have come across a couple of anomalies in my non-working eccdb.

1) There seems to be some discrepancies between mdata and fdata.
2) Some extensions in mdata appear to be wrong.

I have attached a spreadsheet just showing my 32x listing with the anomalies highlighted in red.

Hope this helps.

Hi Phoenix,

I think I may have worked out what's wrong :detective:

All I did was add INDEXES to 'eccident' and 'crc32' for both 'mdata' and 'fdata' and ECC now starts with no problems (that I've noticed)

I believe that the query running on startup was just taking too long due to the number of records.

Hope this helps

Shando

@zoopcrewkid - it's really easy to add the Indexes:

1) Open sqlitebrowser.exe from ecc-core\thirdparty\sqlitebrowser
2) Open your eccdb database from ecc-system\database
3) Click on the "Create Index" icon (the 8th one from the left in the icons toolbar)
4) Name it something like "fdata_eccident"
5) Select "fdata" in "Table to index"
6) Select "eccident" in "Field to index"
7) Click the "Create" button (this will take a while to create the index and sqlitebrowser will say "Not Responding")
8) Repeat Steps 3-7 above for "crc32" in "fdata" and "eccident" and "crc32" in "mdata"
9) Close sqlitebrowser and select "Yes" to save the changes to the database
10) Start ECC and enjoy! (NB: ECC may take a while to start up the first time you run it after these changes)

Hi Shando,

Great! :thumb: i will test this!

Also when starting ECC with PHP plain (debug mode) i let ECC on for 30 mins, so does it takes that long?..... :online2long:

Yes there is a timeout in ecc.exe if the ecc/php/gtk window does not exists in x seconds, because a php error can occur and ecc.exe needs to exit...

looking is php.exe is running is not an option because people could also run ecc on a server or using WAMP....

so does it takes that long?
I left mine running for almost 2 hours and it still hadn't finished

Once I added the indexes startup is almost instantaneous :P
