Unread post by Phoenix » 04 Jan 2009, 01:05

Server has some trouble lately, it's spitting out BSOD's ;-(, looking on the net doesn't give a proper solution, let's wait whats happening in the next days...
bad pool caller is a pretty generic windows error, meaning it doesn't tell you anything
0x000000C2: BAD_POOL_CALLER
(A kernel-mode process or driver incorrectly attempted to perform memory
operations. Typically, a faulty driver or buggy software causes this.

What do the Event Logs says?

Maybe bad mobo?
Do you have another mobo and/or ram to try?

Haw, brand new stuff doesn't mean much to me, I build too many new systems to know that.

Anyways it's good to see it was just a plugin gone crazy.

RAM is the most infected part of a pc. Propably 10 percent of noname and 2 percent of branding ram is infected.
Nothing that looks like a signature.

Wheeheew, we got another :P

BSOD:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LES_OR_EQUAL
***STOP: 0x00000001 (0x00000008,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x......)

The NDIS.SYS file needs replaced. You can do this by doing the following.

Open a command prompt (START>RUN>CMD) and type 'sfc /scanonce'
then reboot. If the file is corrupted then this will fix it.
I have done this, and windows did check/compare the files from CD and on HD if they are same when rebooted, so it should be gone now (i hope).

If you has the possibility, try to run Memtest. Maybe some glitches are in the RAM.
