Re: Scrape/autoadd metadata to roms?

This was years ago my motivation to do something. In the meantime I think it is nearly stable, lets say "beta". So this is an alternative option. Its still my hobby project and I decide what comes in. But its usable, works, and has some nice features that I missed in ECC1. I mange my own collection...

Re: Scrape/autoadd metadata to roms?

Awesome :)

BTW (offtopic) what's the difference between ECC1 and ECC2? (as ECC2 doesn't seem to be official)

Re: ECC ImageInject freezes with larger amounts of roms

Tried it but it doesn't improve anything. The problem still persists.

Though, I tried it on a different computer, and there it works fine. It has something to do with my machine obviously, but it's still impossible to track for me. Isn't there something like a LOG file?

Re: PS1 scraping/isos/launching

A problem is also that the filenames differ...,i will give some thought about this, maybe a "force parsing CUE files" can be made, so it will only look for CUE files for the platform and ignore every other filextension!, then you can run your game with ony the CUE file...but i doubt if every emulat...

Re: PS1 scraping/isos/launching

I agree with both solutions, ignoring the directories while extracting makes sense and also an option to force look for CUEs might make sense, though what about a solution that looks like this: 1. Look for a CUE 2. If there is a CUE, ignore the BINs 3. If there is no CUE, look for BINs (and other fo...

Re: ECC ImageInject freezes with larger amounts of roms

I have absolutely no idea how to do that :) Which file do I need to alter? Please consider that I am not a programer.

Re: ECC ImageInject freezes with larger amounts of roms

Tried both, the new one doesn't improve anything - the bug still happens, the old one doesn't run because of this error:

Re: PS1 scraping/isos/launching

1) If there is no CUE but only a bunch of BIN files, then the ISO definitely hasn't been ripped the right way - you can simply disregard this case. 2) Same here, a iso never has 2 or more CUEs, in this case the ISO hasn't been ripped the right way and can also be disregarded. So, in any normal cases...

Re: ECC ImageInject freezes with larger amounts of roms

Okay, understood. I actually new about the context menue to download single entries, but in my case, with several hundreds of roms, this is still a very time-consuming solution. It's better than nothing, but I'd prefer something less click-intensive :) I already fear the pain in my left hand :P The ...

Re: ECC ImageInject freezes with larger amounts of roms

Tried it again today without any improvements. 1) Windows 7 Professional 2) I shut down any single program to make sure nothing interfers, even the Firewall and Antivirus has been deactivated in the time during the download sequence 3) Any harddisk has at least 5GB left, I doubt that this might be a...

Re: PS1 scraping/isos/launching

I am not sure if this is really a "bad rip", as I have downloaded most of the PS1 roms from sources which work together with another very popular rom organizing software (Hyperspin, in case you haven't heard it yet). Hyperspin actually ignores the BINs if a CUE is provided and collects the info of t...

Re: ECC ImageInject freezes with larger amounts of roms

Sorry for double posting but maybe you might be interested in this: I played around with it further more, and it doesn't seem to have something to do with the 50%, actually it sometimes freezes around 5% or 60%, anything is possible. But - it always freezes I have the feeling. I still wasn't able to...

Re: ECC ImageInject freezes with larger amounts of roms

Phoenix wrote:1) So it does import some images...then it freezes?
Exactly
Phoenix wrote:2) does the freeze thing always happen on the same game/rom (crc32)?
It doesn't freeze on a certain rom, it freezes randomly, but always about 50% of the whole roms.

Re: Scrape/autoadd metadata to roms?

1) What do you exactly mean with Popup screenshot?
2) Exactly, I choose the apropriate game from D-Fend Reloaded's suggestions, click "import" and then the program imports the whole info, even including screenshots.

Re: Scrape/autoadd metadata to roms?

It doesn't put it automatically into the database without any user confirmation, because sometimes you get more than one result. But it's still better than putting everything into the database manually I guess :) I hope you can implement this, it would be awesome :)
