ScummVM - different zip but same CRC

Hi there, it's been a long time. I have downloaded the latest version of ECC to see the progress that had been made and it looks quite promising. I managed to add most of the roms OK but I came by a strange issue with the ScummVM platform. Most of the games which have a small size (between 6 Mb to 7...

Re: ECC & Windows7 64-bit, a good match?

Thanks Phoenix,

I will try a new and fresh install. Maybe my install was not clean enough...
Anyway, what you told is reassuring me, I thought that 1/3 party tools might not be compatible with my version of windows!

ECC & Windows7 64-bit, a good match?

Hi all, I am the happy owner of a brand new desktop computer (lots of power inside) which runs under Windows7 64-bit. Of course, one of the first things to be done was installing ECC on it to enjoy those good old games. Yet, something does not seem to be quite working. After downloading and extracti...

Re: Can't add one NES game

Thanks, guys, actually ECC was not the source of the problem at all. Looks like the archive was corrupt!
I found a proper archive and it now runs just fine!
Sorry for the mistake

Can't add one NES game

Hi there, long time I have not been here. I still use ECC 1.1 but I noticed something very strange. I wan to add a NES rom in my rom library but ECC does not seem to recognize it. The game name is : Gimmick! (Japan).zip and it contains only 1 file: Gimmick! (Japan).nes Other roms seem to be recogniz...

"Windows cannot find emulator"

Hi all, Once again, kudos to Phoenix & team for having solved the "cue file issue" on SSF emulator!! Now, I have another bug in ECC. Every time I try to launch through ECC a Saturn game (SSF emulator) or a ScummVM game (ScummVM emulator) I see the following: 1- ECC launches the script adapted to the...

Re: Cue files not recognized

Phoenix wrote:Hi Howard,

Is the BIN file/location also valid INSIDE the CUE file? (pathname/filename)
Yes, all files are stored in the same folders and have the same titles every time, only the extension is different (*.cue and *.bin).

Re: Cue files not recognized

Hi Howard, Like the message says: the extension BIN is not supported by daemontools! (unless added in newer version??), maybe in the near feature i'll extend the mounting script to make it also compatible with other 'mouting' programs. these extensions can be handled with daemontools: Case $eccFile...

Re: Cue files not recognized

Hi and I wish you all a Happy New Year if not already done!

First of all, thank you for trying to solve the issue!

I have just tried with the latest updates available, but to no success.
The pb with Daemon tools is still there.
Please have a look at the attachment..

Cue files not recognized

Hello all ! I have some trouble running the SSF Sega Saturn Emulator from ECC. It used to work fine but now it is no more the case. When I launch a bin, img or whatever other format of cd image, the script launches daemontools but then daemontools sends the following error message: "the current exte...

Re: A very good pc engine emulator

Well, no need for a script, really.
If you just tick the "Use .cue file" box in the emul config this works perfectly...

Otherwise, for PCE CD games, I also use the following option in order to increase sound volume:
-soundvol 100 %ROM%

Big up!

Re: Amiga WHDLoad Games

All I did was add the .zip extenstion in the "ecc_amiga_system.ini" and ecc should scan for your new roms. Your whdload games are zipped, right? Indeed... hence the question. And changing the ini file with either slave or zip does not make this .slave or .zip extension appear in the emulator config...
